The Inland Valleys of La Safor (in the area of Gandia and Tavernes de la Valldigna) offer lots of beautiful routes for excursions and hikes and the land is cooled by the colossal peak of Montdúver. Tranquil valleys can be easily accessed to the peak of Montdúver and a magnificent view of the Gulf of Valencia can be seen along with smaller mountains along the coast of La Safor.
Gandia can be reached via Sueca and Cullera along the N332 and is approximately 40 minutes away by car a further 5 10 minutes along this route is the pretty town of Oliva with itīs beaches which are a favourite weekend retreat for the city dwellers of Valencia.
