I wanted to write sooner but life has been a bit busy since we returned from our holiday. We just wanted to say what a wonderful time we had when we stayed with you on 22nd/23rd August. Your lovely house and gardens and the delicious food made our stay one of, no, the most, memorable experiences we have had in any accommodation we have stayed in abroad. Don't ever think of giving it up until we have been to stay with you both again...and Angie, if you wanted to let us have the recipe for the bread and butter pudding that we had on the first night we would be forever in your debt - it was delicious!!...and of course so was everything else we ate.

Recently I was lucky enough to spend ten days in a wonderful Bed and Breakfast in Benicull, Valencia. The owners, Gerry and Angie Banks were two of the most accommodating and wonderful people I had the pleasure to meet during my trip to Spain. The house was spotlessly maintained and beautifully furnished. The rooms were tastefully decorated and rivaled anything one might find in a five star hotel. The daily breakfasts (included) and dinners (ordered upon request) were meticulously prepared personally by Angie, a gourmet cook, while Gerry was our attentive but unobtrusive server. They were such interesting people that I always wished they would join us for meals. They were constantly available to help with directions and everything else that could confound the traveler in a new country. That kind of help is invaluable and gives one a great sense of security. They seem to love living and working in Spain and take a great deal of pride in the excellent establishment they have worked hard to create. The house itself is spacious, full of light and has a beautiful garden. The B and B is located in a quiet area and is surrounded by orange groves. One has the sensation of being in the countryside but has the advantage of having two larger villages close by and is just three train stops from the heart of Valencia City. There is ample safe parking in front of the building so having a car became easy. I am 55 years old and travel frequently to many countries. I honestly have to say that this is one of the few places I have stayed where I felt sincerely reluctant to leave. I hope to return there on every trip to Spain, although with the rave reviews they must receive, I'll be lucky to find a reservation.
